There are millions of orphaned children around the world, living without a father OR mother, often without access to nutritious food, clean water, a quality education, medical care and a stable, fun childhood.
That’s why Miracle Foundation, a non-profit organization that empowers orphans to reach their full potential, is launching its Father’s Day campaign, in hopes of engaging gift-givers (and dads or father figures) to raise funds for its ongoing work with orphan children.
In partnership with Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Miracle Foundation will launch a Father’s Day campaign that encourages gift-givers to say #CheersToDad and buy their father (or father figure) a “virtual drink” and use the monetary equivalent to make a donation in their name to support children without parents.
“This Father’s Day, instead of giving him a tie, watch or power tools, you can honor a dad by spending the same amount of money in a much more meaningful way, one that gives children without dads the childhood we all deserve,” said Caroline Boudreaux, Founder of Miracle Foundation. “Buy a dad a ‘virtual drink,’ with a donation in his name to support orphans, and Tito’s Handmade Vodka and other generous donors will match your donation, dollar-for-dollar, up to $100,000. You honor a dad for Father’s Day and orphaned children benefit. What better way is there to honor a dad?”
To participate, gift-givers simply visit MiracleFoundation.org/Fathers. There, they can make a tax-deductible donation in the name of their father or father figure. Donors will receive an email with a certificate they can share with their honoree for Father’s Day, letting him know he’s been honored with a donation to support children without a father figure in their life.
Here are the various gift levels folks can donate at:
$20: Buy a dad a “virtual drink” (and you, too!)
$50: Buy a dad the “virtual bottle”
$100: Buy dad & friends a “virtual round”
$300: Buy the whole bar a “virtual drink!”
Tito’s Handmade Vodka and other generous donors will match every dollar donated, up to $100,000.
“Miracle Foundation proves that one person can make a difference,” said Chris Porter, Donor (and Father). “I have witnessed, first-hand, what my monthly donation does to change the lives of these children. I’ve traveled to visit the kids and have seen the difference my investment is making. These children are thriving because fathers (and/or father figures) like me are investing in them. Through our support, we’re giving them a chance to have happy childhoods, go to college and have bright futures.”
Currently, Miracle Foundation supports thousands of orphaned children across India and offers its wide range of capacity-building training—focused on child protection, child rights, caregivers, life skills education, governance and more—to anyone supporting orphans, around the world. With an increasingly global focus, Miracle Foundation is also partnering with organizations in Kenya, Uganda, Sierra Leone, Ethiopia and more to redefine the role of orphanages and bring life-changing care to the world’s orphans.
“We believe in quality over quantity, in supporting the whole child and breaking the cycle of poverty. Our Father’s Day campaign represents a meaningful new way that every person can make miracles for orphans and honor their mother at the same time,” added Boudreaux. “Helping children go from hopeless and head-down, to empowered and standing tall, with bright futures ahead of them, is one of the most fulfilling endeavors in the world.”
Miracle Foundation is unique in that its metric-driven method is measurable, scalable and transparent, guarding against corruption and ensuring that all donations go directly into nurturing and transforming the lives of orphaned children. Through its work, Miracle Foundation has given thousands of children without parental care a childhood that would have otherwise been impossible.
Miracle Foundation has been awarded the highest possible rating of four stars by Charity Navigator, an independent organization that evaluates charities’ effectiveness and financial transparency.
About Miracle Foundation
The Miracle Foundation is a non-profit organization that brings life-changing care to the world’s orphans. Our mission is simple. The Miracle Foundation stands for orphaned children and helps them thrive in real time. We’ve created a measurable, repeatable and systematic method to ensure orphans are educated, fed, loved and safe. At the same time, we explore every avenue to reunite them with their parents or relatives, if possible.
• Ensures organizations meet the 12 Rights of the Child and rise to international standards
• Guides leaders to resettle children with a caring, responsible relative or family—and help them stay together
• Helps organizations help themselves by improving their fund raising capacity
• Transitions orphanages into Centers of Excellence where children truly thrive
Our goal is not only to break the cycle of poverty, but to have each child become a healthy, happy, income-producing person—and experience a true sense of belonging.
