Cambria Christmas Market lights up the Central Coast

As much as we love Christmas Tree Lane in Fig Garden here in Fresno, there’s a part of us that wishes it was a little….bigger. Maybe more entertainment, with vendors selling food and crafts. (Yes, we realize that would create an even more massive traffic backup, but stick with us here.)

Something like the Cambria Christmas Market is just what we have in mind. Fortunately, it’s not far from Fresno at all.

The holiday market returned to Cambria on Friday, Nov.25 for a season-long stay. Featuring beautiful light displays along with tons of vendors selling the most coveted holiday gifts and treats, the will celebrate a time-honored European custom that dates back to the Middle Ages. The traditional Christmas market, or “Weihnachtsmarkt,” as it is referred to in Germany, opens the holiday season with delicious food, warm winter beverages and gifts galore.

The spectacular lighting creates a magical winter wonderland that kids and kids-at-heart will love. According to my sources, you’ll need at least an hour to take in all of the sights. To see past displays, go to and take a look at the gallery.

This highly-anticipated event will run until Friday, December 23, with a limited number of tickets available. This year, tickets are expected to sell out in advance and if they do, they will NOT be sold at the door. Don’t miss out on the biggest event of the holiday season! Purchase your tickets at

Admission prices are $5, $10 or $15 depending on the date, but kids five and under are always free. Keep in mind that on November 28th and 29th as well as December 5th, 6th, 12th and 13th, the Market will be closed. The last shuttle to the Market is at 8 p.m., ticket sales close at 8:15 p.m., and the last shuttle from the Market leaves at 9:15 p.m. More information on the shuttle service and parking is available on the Cambria Christmas Market website.
