Jared Marshall, attorney at Dowling Aaron since 2011, was recently promoted to Preferred Shareholder. Marshall specializes in trust and estate, guardianship and conservatorship litigation.

He regularly represents beneficiaries, heirs, fiduciaries and family members in disputes regarding inheritance, the administration of trusts and estates, and the care of elderly persons and minors.

Marshall focuses on helping clients resolve difficult issues favorably, whether through informal negotiations or before a judge at trial.

William Lanier Thomas joined Dowling Aaron as a Preferred Shareholder in June of 2016. He has been practicing law in the Central Valley for over 35 years in the focus areas of strategic wealth conservation, business continuity planning, charitable giving and asset protection.

In addition to practicing law, Thomas is actively involved in educating insurance professionals, lawyers, financial advisors, CPAs and stock brokers in basic and advanced estate planning concepts.

“It is a pleasure to reconnect with a number of former colleagues,” said Thomas. “I look forward to offering the high level of service that clients expect today and growing with a vibrant firm that complements my practice in so many ways.”

Additionally, Leigh W. Burnside was selected as one of the Top 50 Women Northern California Super Lawyers of 2016. Super Lawyers recognizes outstanding attorneys based on professional achievement and peer recognition. She has been recognized as a Super Lawyer for the past three years and this year joined the list of the Top 50 Women Lawyers in Northern California.

As the Chair of the firm’s Trust and Estate Litigation Practice Group, Burnside regularly represents clients in trust and estate disputes as well as counsels fiduciaries in their administration of trusts and estates.
